I know that this is really, really, really, and I mean really early, but my thought is that the earlier this gets going the further it can be spread.

As we all know February 5th 2012 is the 25th birthday of our beloved curly-haired goofball, and as we would all love to go to his house and give him the world’s biggest surprise party we know that is pretty much impossible - very much unfortunately.

As much as we would love to explain to him how much he means to us, how much we love him, admire him, how grateful we are that he lets us be such a huge part of his life, we can’t really do that.

Instead I thought we should do something else for him, to let him know that we love him, and that he touches every single one of us (very much unfortunately not in the way a lot of people just thought of when they read that line) - let him know that we appreciate his hard work and endless efforts to share every detail of his success with us.

What I am thinking is that on this very same date that it will be 25 years since our world was blessed with this amazing creature we all, each and every single one of us, goes to iTunes and buy his song ‘Human’.

If anyone doesn’t know I will give a short introduction to the song:

‘Human’ is a song Darren wrote when he was 15. The very first song he ever wrote actually (as far as I know), and to this day he still glows with pride whenever he plays it himself, he hears people sing it, or people merely mentions it. It is featured on the EP of same name that Darren released during the summer of 2010. (If you don’t have it already hurry to get it cause it is truly a masterpiece of infinite caliber.)

There is no doubt that this song is his ‘baby’, and that is why I think that if everyone went out and bought this song on iTunes on his birthday (regardless if you already have it, it’s really not anything that will turn over your budget) we could get the song to skyrocket - this fandom has done it before with polls and stuff, so why shouldn’t we be able to do it with a song on iTunes?

But of course this needs to be kept from Darren as best as you can, if possible. So unfortunately Twitter might be off limits. It’s easier to keep things from Darren on Tumblr than on Twitter (that is my impression at least). The element of surprise is one of the best ways to make a birthday present memorable.

Please reblog, spread the word, tell your friends, buy it from several ip accounts of iTunes if you are feeling extra charitable. Just - let Darren know that we love him, and that his work inspire us and means so much more to us than we could say in words.

I am also working on a second project on the side, but more info will come for those who would be interested. This is a much larger scale of project, so it needs more arranging and perfecting before I will reveal any details.
